Do we have to fill DS 260 (Immigrant Visa Form) again?

Today's topic is for those Intending Immigrants who have already filled Ds 260, have got DQ from NVC in 2019, and are waiting for an interview at US Consulate.

My Name is Samar Sandhu, and working as an Immigration Attorney in F4 India Immigration Law Office.

Well, some of you must be thinking that now you have to wait for the Interview and all other Procedure is done.

So let me make an important announcement. This is totally based on my experience.

Those who have been waiting for their Interview at their respective US Consulate for more than two years, I mean their Ds 260 was filled and submitted before two years, they need to fill DS 260 again, In fact, the correct statement will be they need to update their DS 260. Yes, you heard right.

Every applicant who has waited more than two years for Consulate to get an Interview, or if US Consulate has started working on their 221 G Refusal case after two years, they all are asked to update their DS 260. You just cannot log in and do the changes, as this will be possible once the DS 260 is submitted. Only US Consulate can reopen it. Now we have seen that this is not a scenario with every case.

This was just a piece of information shared by me, Mr Samar Sandhu, an attorney at F4 India Law Firm, wholly based on experience.

Now I would like to give you a tip.

You need to think and let me know what you think about this.

So here is the tip:

Because many cases are done (documentary Complete), from the NVC side and are pending for Interview for a long, it is advised that at the time of Interview, you take updated, additional documents of your petitioner and yours, like financial, civil, affidavits etc, BECAUSE there are high chances that most people, those who are not prepared before, especially after the two years of wait, will get 221 G Refusal letter.

So let me know what you feel about this tip. And also, I would like to have comments from those who have been through this in just the last couple of months, Since the US Consulate started processing Re interviews and Interviews for 221 G, or IR Categories.

Your experiences will help other intending immigrants better prepare to prevent 221 G Refusal. Rest, we are always here, and you can take our help. For any question feel free to write us at info@f4india.com.
